My name is Jay

I live in San Francisco and I’ve been writing my whole life.

I spend most of my days journaling, surfing, reading, tackling problems at Interview Query, and attempting to write.

A little bit about my journey and how I got here today.

In 2015, I was a senior at the University of Washington and managed to land a job in data analytics for a company.

Later on I joined a ten person startup called Jobr that got acquired by Monster.

I worked there for almost 3 years before joining Nextdoor as a data scientist. And quickly I realized it was time to quit to start my own company and surf more.

For the last five years now I’ve been working on Interview Query, a platform which helps job-seekers ace their interviews in data science and analytics.

This weekly newsletter is a compilation of my thoughts on startups and business, personal finances and early retirement, explorations of AI and data science, and tinkering through the nuances of life.
